BARRETT SHEARING ACCOMMODATION
Barrett Shearing provides accommodation commonly referred to as "The Quarters" in Wellington NSW.
We aim to provide employees with high quality living quarters.
Employees have the option of individual or shared accommodation subject to availability. This is at the discretion of the managers.
“The Quarters” facilities include:
• Self-contained cabins
• BBQ area
• Laundry area
• Grassy areas
Accommodation
The following conditions need to be adhered to whilst you are staying at “The Quarters.”
1. Employees are responsible for the day-to-day cleaning of the cabins.
2. Please leave cabins in a tidy manner daily e.g. floors swept, bins put out etc.
3. Contact details for a local cleaner will be provided if required however costs of cleaning will be covered by you.
4. Employees will have access to laundry facilities e.g., washing machines, dryers.
5. Employees will have access to BBQ facilities located in the common area outside. Please be sure to clean this area after each use. All rubbish may be disposed of in the bins provided.
6. “The Quarters” are provided for Barrett Shearing employees’ ONLY!! It is NOT ACCEPTABLE to invite guests unless approved by management.
7. “The Quarters” is NOT for partying. Employees are asked to respect and consider other residents. Individuals “partying” or displaying unacceptable behaviour will be asked to leave the premises.
8. Whilst staying at “The Quarters,” a 10PM CURFEW has been imposed. This curfew considers the rights of all employees and surrounding neighbours to have a restful and peaceful environment. All common areas including the BBQ area are closed after 10pm.
9. Security – Please ensure cabins are always locked. 24-hour security cameras have been installed to ensure employee safety.
10. Smoking – Smoking is NOT permitted in cabins, laundry or the BBQ area. They are all smoke-free zones! All cigarette butts are to be disposed of safely in the bins provided.
11. Drugs – NON–PRESCRIPTION DRUGS are not permitted! Employees caught with illegal drugs will be asked to leave the quarters immediately!
12. Aggressive, bullying, sexually explicit or unacceptable behaviour towards other employees including the managers WILL NOT BE TOLERATED!
13. Employees are required to provide their own linen e.g., towels, sheets, blankets etc.
14. Personal vehicles need to be parked in the parking areas beside the cabins. There is one vehicle parking space for each cabin.
15. Speed limit – the speed limit at “The Quarters” is 10km/hr. If excessive speed is reported, you will receive a warning. If you exceed the limit a second time, you will be asked to leave. Please consider the safety of other motorists and pedestrians.
16. Please be respectful of the gardens.
17. Any repairs to cabins should be reported to the office as required. A Facebook message will be sent out regularly to ensure the cabins are safe and hazard free.
18. DOGS - Please ensure dogs are tied up, or on a leash, unless actively supervised. Employees will be given a warning if their dogs are roaming unsupervised. If caught a second time you will be asked to seek alternative arrangements for your dog. Employees are responsible to clean up after their dog and dispose of waste in the bins provided. This is NOT THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE MANAGERS! Please ensure your dog always has access to shade and water. DOGS ARE NOT PERMITTED INSIDE THE CABINS OR THE AMENITIES BLOCK.
19. Fire safety – All employees are asked to familiarise themselves with the fire safety procedures located in the cabins. Please be familiar with the location of emergency meeting points around the premises. If you become aware of a FIRE, please call 000.
20. Fire safety checks and pest control is conducted on a regular basis. At these times, the managers are required to have access to your cabin. A message will be added to the Facebook site to inform you of access.
21. Cabin inspections will be conducted as required by the managers. If cabins are left in an unsatisfactory condition, employees’ will be issued with a warning. If an unsatisfactory inspection is conducted a second time, employees’ will be asked to leave the quarters and seek alternative accommodation.
22. Upon departure, your cabin will be inspected by the managers. If cabins are left in an unsatisfactory condition, cleaning and maintenance costs will be recovered from employees’ wage.
